Hi there,
I didn’t intend to take almost a year off from writing. My last post was on the solar eclipse last April; I'm pretty sure I haven’t gone 11 months without publishing since I started writing online horoscopes 20 years ago.
I have wanted to post more regularly about our life in the Tennessee woods and our the process of preparing and developing our expanded organic herb farm. But the day-to-day challenges of adapting to a whole new way of life (including, but not limited to, learning how to service two different kinds of generators, installing a working off-grid water system and solar power system, trying to weatherproof a poorly-insulated cabin so we wouldn’t freeze in the winter, lots of digging and planting and harvesting and patching up high tunnels and building drying racks, and the death of the computer I’ve done my writing on for the last decade) kept me otherwise occupied for longer than expected.
And…but…however…nonetheless:
We grew a lot of medicine last year! It’s amazing and tasty and healing and grown with love and intention, hand-crafted in small batches and beautiful packaged and now available at our virtual farmstand: www.violaherbs.org.
Tatiana has been working on the website and labels for months now, wanting to give the flowers and their medicine a presentation that reflects their innate goodness and the amount of love and hard work we’ve invested in making the most artisanal herbal tinctures, oils and teas available anywhere.
We are super proud of our products. We use them daily and the folks in our local community here who have tried them have been blown away by how effective they are. And, now that we’ve finally made it through another long, dark winter of the unvaccinated (or three weeks of frozen pipes and nearly a whole rick of firewood in January and February, as you prefer), we’re excited to share our abundance with you.
As my bones thaw and the days grow longer, I’ve been feeling a yen to write again so I hope I’ll see you here sooner rather than later.
