The New Fundamentalists
I stumbled upon Rational-Wiki he other night while trying to find the correct spelling of Viktor Grebennikov’s name. The first thing that caught my eye was their Pseudo-Science category, devoted to '“debunking” all sorts of conspiracy theories and other forms of mis- and dis-information about SCIENCE!!!
I tried to convince myself this was a joke site put together by rogue creationists but as I poked around the site, I came to the (somewhat sad) conclusion it was not a spoof. These people seem to be true believers.
As in, they Trust the Science (TM). Which is really a shame, because, as a spoof site, it coulda been totally genius. The authors’ total lack of objectivity and apparent disinterest in understanding the scientific method or adhering to even the most basic tenets of logical argument gives their writing a lurid, satiric tone that rivals some of the more outrageous kooky New Age forums for unintentional comedy value.
They actually believe they are thinking rationally when they dismiss the validity of any and all forms of alternative medicine, which they define as “any medical treatment that is not part of conventional evidence-based medicine, such as one would learn in medical school, nursing school or even paramedic training.”
Of course, I had to check out the Anti-vaccination movement page. The page gains immediate legitimacy by starting with a quote from….talk show host Jimmy Kimmel!
In just the first paragraph, the page authors start building their rational case against the anti-vaccination movement with an unbroken series of logically fallacious propositions. First they label anti-vaxxers as conspiracy theorists, then they claim that “the movement” (their words) is “led mainly by people with no medical or scientific qualifications.” And they tell us these people’s concerns about vaccine adverse effects are “often trivial compared to the severity of what were once common illnesses.”1
But this sentence is the real gem: “Ironically (anti-vaccination) advocates have been directly responsible for the return of health disasters by reinvigorating diseases that had almost been eradicated by said vaccines.”
It’s getting harder to find stories about the vaccine-derived polio that is spreading through Africa in the wake of Bill Gates’ polio vaccine initiative there. Luckily, The Guardian hasn’t scrubbed this one:
Are the critical thinkers at Rational-Wiki calling Bill and Melinda Gates leaders of the anti-vaccination movement? Do they think most people are so brainwashed they won’t wade through pages of sponsored content in Google’s search results to find out who is really “directly responsible for the return of health disasters…”
Or do they really believe what they are claiming is true?
“Believers and Non-Believers”
Until recently, I just figured the politicians, media figures, and celebrities who have been shilling for the mRNA vaccines and clamoring for vaccine mandates and passports had skin in the game. As in being willing to sell their soul for a stack of PharmaBucks or a popularity boost or because they didn’t want to lose their status or face ostracism and life among the deplorables if they spoke out.
Now I’m wondering if many of them actually believe. Tatiana and I have been seeing the needle in every arm agenda as the doctrine of a global death cult. And the more I’ve tuned into the behavior of the people pushing the official narrative the hardest — including the true believers on social media wishing death on the “unvaccinated” as well as pronouncements by top-level government officials in Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S and the U.K. — the more this perspective makes sense to me.
I mean, we can certainly explain some of what we are seeing as the fruit of a 50-year strategy to miseducate, demoralize, and brainwash the masses. We can deduce that at least part of the mass formation psychosis Robert Malone is talking about is being generated by the nexus of increasingly sophisticated algorithms with near total access to our personal information and incredibly powerful computing and machine learning systems used by Google, Twitter and Facebook.
Greed and blackmail probably play some role with politicians and celebrities who are high enough in the pecking order. But that doesn’t explain the fervor for authoritarian control evidenced daily by the family members, the bloggers, the woke moms and dads on Facebook and Twitter, and that friend from back in the day who says she’ll never see you again until you’re fully vaccinated and boosted.
You can show them data direct from the Israeli government, the Alberta public health department, Denmark, France — hell, even the CDC — and they’ll accuse you of spreading disinformation.
You can point out that, by any historical medical standards, the vaccines are not “safe and effective.” They’ll respond with, “The CDC says the vaccines are completely safe and effective and adverse events are extremely rare!”
You can play them video clips of Tony Fauci saying the vaccines will absolutely keep you from catching Covid and absolutely keep you from transmitting Covid. You can point out that even though they’re double-vaxxed and triple-boosted they still have to wear a mask. You can show them data from around the world that demonstrates the vaccinated are clearly driving transmission; or data showing that the Omicron variant is much more risky for the fully vaccinated than the unvaccinated.
(By this point they’ve probably run shrieking from the Zoom meeting to don an extra face mask, call the police, or hose themselves down with Lysol.)
Truth Is What We Say It Is
The people who have really bought into the virus narrative don’t care about objective truth at this point. Facts mean nothing to them. It’s all word salad because the only thing that matters is the Word passed down by the priests (even St. Fauci himself some days!) from the great Syringe in the Sky.
But what about the rank and file “reporters” who continue pumping out the same storyline even when the story doubles back on itself time after time? What about the people who (solipsism alert) should know better but keep urging us to Trust the Science? Even though what’s being called “the science” in the Covid era bears only a passing resemblance to the traditional post-Enlightenment concept of science.
Somehow the thought that this many college-educated, white collar “professionals” have actually vacated the world of objective reality because that is what their religion demands of them is even more chilling to me than the idea of global conspiracy of sociopaths who are selling the rest of us out for personal gain.
No one wants to face an army of mercenaries. But only a small percentage of the population possesses the psychological profile to make it as a mercenary. And mercenaries stop killing the minute they stop getting paid.
As long as we’re facing mercenary grifters like Imran Ahmed, we’ve got a fighting chance! Here’s a funny and enlightening profile of the CEO and apparently lone employee of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. (The source quoted by the Washington Post reporter in her email):
Cult members, on the other hand? They’ve been brainwashed, traumatized, broken down, and reconstituted. They do what their leaders tell them. They will own nothing and they vill eat ze bugs, if that is what is required.
And if the masters tell them the poor conditions in society are caused by the dirty, irrational, unscientific whores of the anti-vaccination movement and now we must rid the world of this plague, this ongoing pandemic of the unvaccinated…
These cults are laughable, if often tragic for a handful of people, until they reach a certain critical mass. Think Cultural Revolution, Crusades, Holocaust.
We can’t afford to normalize these people’s fanatical worldview.
Because the reporting is voluntary — not systematized as in other first-world nations — and because of political pressure and red tape discouraging physicians to report adverse effects, there’s a pretty broad consensus among doctors that the real number of adverse events and deaths from the mRNA vaccines in this country is somewhere between 10 to 100 times higher than the number reported in the CDC’s VAERS database.
Meaning the real number of vaccine-related deaths as of January 14, 2022 would range from 220,000 to 2.2 million.
